THE CURRENT AVJSA CAPACITY FEE IS $2,000.00 PER EDU.  If you are building a new home, commercial building, transitioning your current home from a septic system to city sewage, or adding on to an existing commercial business that will result in an increase in water usage, you must submit an AVJSA Capacity Fee Application, along with a check for the appropriate fees.

If your construction project is determined to equal TWO OR MORE EDUs (ONE EDU = 208 gallons per day), you must ALSO submit a PA DEP Sewage Facilities Planning Module.   (Visit the PA DEP Website for planning module documents and instructions).

Effective January 1, 2017, the Allegheny Valley Joint Sewage Authority implemented a Waste Hauler License Agreement and Permit requirement to all haulers bringing waste into the AVJSA facility.

Each truck is required to post a permit sticker obtained from AVJSA at a cost of $25 per sticker.  This is a one-time fee for each truck coming into the facility.  Disposal fees for septage will be based on full load unless approved by AVJSA management staff.  AVJSA will not sample each truck load, but will perform random sampling.  See “Residential Waste Disposal Price List” for disposal fees.

ATTENTION RV OWNERS:    Effective January 1, 2022, the cost to dump is $20 per load.  Exact change required. 

Disposal hours for all are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.   Dump station closed on weekends and holidays.
