Allegheny Valley Joint Sewage Authority

The Allegheny Valley Joint Sewage Authority (AVJSA), located in the Township of Harmar, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, owns and operates approximately one mile of interceptor sewer, four miles of force main, five pump stations and a wastewater treatment plant serving approximately 13,100 customers including homes, businesses and industries in Cheswick Borough, Fox Chapel Borough, Harmar Township, Hampton Township, Indiana Township, Richland Township, Springdale Borough, Springdale Township, and West Deer Township.  Wastewater generated by these customers is processed at the 5.5 MGD Wastewater Treatment Plant.
